Amazon.com A great gadget for planning a boating or camping trip or just monitoring the weather, this battery-powered wireless weather station displays all the pertinent information. The LCD is divided into five areas of information. At the very top of the screen the time is displayed in hours, minutes, and seconds, and either 12- or 24-hour modes with the date directly below it. A built-in antenna system receives signals from the WWVB radio transmitter in Fort Collins, Colorado, which is in turn is regulated by the atomic clock, to provide precise timekeeping. Once you install the battery, you can set the clock to one of 13 time zones, including all U.S. times zones and Greenwich Mean Time, and the device will automatically set to the accurate time. The clock even automatically adjusts for daylight savings time, so you never need to remember to move it backward or forward by an hour. Two independent alarm settings with snooze are included for convenience. Forecast icons (three in total) in the middle of the LCD display weather predictions based on changing air pressure and predictions are about 75% accurate for any 12- to 20-hour time period. The remainder of the display is devoted to showing indoor relative humidity and temperature in either Fahrenheit or Celsius for an indoor location and an outdoor area using the included remote sensor. For more accurate outdoor readings, the base unit can receive information from up to three different sensors, which can each be placed up to 80 feet away. The weather station records the minimum and maximum temperatures and humidity readings within a 24-hour period and recalls them at your prompting. In addition, it has an indoor comfort level indicator, which uses happy or sad face icons to inform you if the temperature is at a comfortable level. The wireless weather station requires two AA batteries for the receiver and another two for the remote and a low-battery indicator on the receiver lets you know when they need replacing. This unit is covered by a one-year warranty. --Cristina Vaamonde

Never Use November 16, 2008 Sandy (MI) If you have a computer or TV with cable or a dish you'll find no use for this. I find it useless and fustrating, I have to come up to it very close to read it because of its glare.
1 outta 2 ain't bad... September 15, 2008 D. Hill It is a good thing I bought 2 of these. The first one died and would not receive from the outside transmitter.. The second one is working as far as I can tell..
Perfect for the Price August 15, 2008 John N. Schear (Roanoke, Virginia United States) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Everything is relative. This unit is no exception. For the $25 price you can hardly go wrong. Yes, there is a glare but not enough to pass on the price. It does not have all the bells and whistles as the $50 plus stations but it does work and it works fairly well. We have 2 other models going: a really cheap one that shows it and a fairly expensive one and it has a few more bells and whistles. This is the perfect starter station for the folks who want to know about the temperatures and other stuff. I thought after a year or so this would be just another gadget that finds itself in the Goodwill bag or yard sale. It isn't. It has been a dependable friend worth keeping and replacing batteries when necessary.
Nice product but there are concerns in accuracy June 9, 2008 Mau Ulloa (San Jose, Costa Rica) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I bought this item because I really need to know temperatures and relative humidity for my manufacturing process in my small family business. I followed up the instructions and placed the main unit side by side to the external temperature sensor. The unit has an internal temperature sensor as well. The external temperature sensor showed a difference of 3 to 5 degrees with the temperature of the unit. This difference is big enough to cause trouble in my process. Besides this, the product works nice, it has a clear display and it is easy to use. Since I don't live in the US, the autoadjustment of the time does not work.
Nice weather station but--- May 23, 2008 Samantha S (Chicago, Il) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
As another reviewer stated, the glare off the face is bad. Hard to see at different angles. Works well.
