unreliable junk November 30, 2008 glen madison 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Peltor calls these things 'WorkTunes' but they can't stand up to the stress of a construction site. While I like them for the first week while they still work, they never make more than a few months (I have a garage full of broken ones, you would think I would learn my lesson.) Plus reception, especially on the low end of the FM band sucks. I thought the digital tuner would solve that problem but it did not. When you consider that they are not inventing anything new(radio has bee around for 100 years) plus how much they cost, you would think they could make a product that works and last at least 6 months.
the reception is awful November 30, 2008 Michael C. Hossman (greenwich, connecticut. USA) i bought this as a replacement to my older peltor worktunes the non digital ones. i figured the reception would be better but in fact is terrible i live i live 30 mins from nyc so reception is great anywhere i go but with the head set i got is hard to find any stations do not buy. if u use the radio the aux input works fine, this means u need an mp3 player or ipod
How hard is it? November 30, 2008 Carp I have the radio version of these, they're great. The aux jack on this pair works fine, but the radio reception is crappy. Save your money.
listening pleasure November 24, 2008 Health Maven (Louisville, Ky) I really love to use this radio when I do my weight training. It really blocks out noise and the receiption is excellent. I also prefer the earpieces to the ones with foam which deteriorate so quickly due to perspiration.
Peltor 90541 worktunes November 23, 2008 George English (Orlando, FL) This is the second pair of worktunes that I have had. I really like them because they not only protect my hearing but they also allow me to listen to music while I work.
